TikTok Save Tool
With TikTok potentially disappearing from U.S. phones this Sunday, it’s important to save your favorite dance challenges, pet videos, and more while you still can. But it’s not just about saving your own creations; with TikTok as a go-to resource for everything from DIY recipe how-tos to meaningful social interaction, the platform is more than a digital scrapbook of fun memes and trends — it’s become a place to record meaningful memories, find inspiration, and build skills.
When you make a video on TikTok, it’s automatically saved to your account so you can access and replay it anytime. You can also share a TikTok directly on your timeline or to other accounts, or download it to view offline. However, TikTok’s watermark is distracting and limits how you can use your videos, p articularly if you want to post them on other platforms or platforms that don’t allow you to post videos in their native format. While the app doesn’t have an official way to remove its watermark from your videos, there are several third-party apps that allow you to do just that. For example, you can use the free app SnapTik to record and save high-quality TikTok videos without a watermark. To save a video on your phone using the app, select the arrow-shaped Share button in the lower-right corner of any video and then choose “Save Video.” The video is saved to your device’s gallery as an MP4 file.
You can also save a TikTok to your computer by using a web browser or an extension on your mobile device. One option is the myfaveTT extension, which you can find on the Chrome Store. To install the extension, open a new tab in your browser and navigate to the myfaveTT website. Once you’re on the site, click “Add to Chrome” and follow the prompts to add the extension to your browser. When you’re ready to start downloading, log in with your secondary TikTok account and then head to any video you’d like to save. The TikToks you follow will then appear in the sidebar of your browser window, and you can select any of them to download. The videos will be downloaded as MP4 files into your selected folder.
Alternatively, you can use Flixier to save your TikToks as MP4 or MP3 files. Then, you can use Flixier’s easy-to-use editor to compile your saved videos into a longer YouTube-ready video with transitions and copyright-free music tracks. Flixier can even create realistic AI voiceovers for your TIkToks, eliminate background noise and enhance speech clarity with audio editing tools.
If you’re concerned about TikTok disappearing from your mobile devices, it’s a good idea to request all of your personal data before the shutdown. You can do so by visiting your profile and tapping the menu icon at the top right corner of the screen. Then, you can find the “Request My Data” link under your privacy settings. Once you’ve done that, you can use your backup files to continue enjoying the content on other platforms.
