RedEye Is Building Houses
RedEye Coffee is a non-profit coffee shop whose mission is to help
improve the lives of the under-resourced. RedEye has set a goal of
organizing a work team and raising $4,500 to build a house for an
impoverished indigenous family in Guatemala. Back in October of 2011, RedEye did this! And RedEye is hoping to do it again in the future.
How You Can Help
Join the Team – Whenever another trip to Panajachel, Guatemala is planned, join one of 10-20 member teams and help build a home! The trip cost runs around
$450 plus airfare ($500 - $800), spending money, and incidentals.
Donate – Construction material costs, translator, work foreman, and
local labor combine to cost around $4,500 for a small home. RedEye Coffee will cover costs associated with oversight and management of
lodging, food, and transportation so that every penny you donate will go
to the direct costs of construction. Or, if you’d prefer, your donation can
help someone else who can find the time but is short on funds make the
trip South in your place. Even better, your gift is fully tax-deductable.

While $4,500 isn’t even a down payment for a home in the U.S.,
it can literally change a family’s life in Guatemala. If you have
